I JUST got rid of ours too. It was hard. We are keeping pieces of ours to turn into a bench and the other one a fabric holder. I get it mama, I do. The days are long and the years are soooo short.

Oh, you have touched me with this post, Laura. For one, memories of Pam are flooding (I still miss her!), and your feelings about your house are the way I feel too (since they are alike).

And moving from a crib to a bed…. There are so many times as we raise our kids that we don’t know the “lasts” (when was the last time she reached for your hand when crossing the street? when was the last time he needed help to get a drink of water?) and when we do it can be so emotional. Sometimes it seems that our parenting years just slip through our fingers.

It is hard to believe it is almost ten years! We appreciate having you as neighbors. I love your kids and love watching them grow up. Now, the only thing missing is you and I taking walks together like Pam and I did for years! Let’s try to get that started when you feel you are able to do so.

Wonderful how our mind can run pictures and videos of the stages of the lives of our children. You are mine and I can replay many fun and crazy times over many years until I gave you to Joel. I can still replay your life over the 10 years and the newborn Thomas’s I have held and walked the floor with. What a blessed life I have had.
