In reply to Lovefam6. Oh friend we are ALL works in progress! I love the thought of seeking ideals knowing that we will not always follow through but we seek our goal of loving our children well. I think it is so powerful when we apologize to our children...we are showing them the redemption of Christ:)

I’m not sure whether I’d call them passions per say, but the two things I religiously *try* to do are to touch their hearts by speaking their love language, and to be cognizant about my tone of voice and speak with love at all times. The latter I suck at, so there’s lot of apologies, examples of how I should have handled it, and asking of forgiveness. My children have the most gracious hearts from their Father =)

Love this my friend! A few things we love to do is make sure to take the first minutes (or longer) that we are together after being apart to hug, connect, and say those words like “I missed you while you were sleeping” to one another. It sets the tone for the rest of our day. We also are intentional on speaking declarations of truth & blessings over their life most every day. We’ve seen what a difference it makes in helping them soak in Whose they are & God’s greater purpose.for them. Looking forward to reading more from your heart! It’s always refreshing! XOXO
